It’s officially December (where did the time go?) and Cincinnati has plenty of holiday festivities to celebrate the season. We asked some of our employees what their favorite thing to do in the tri-state during the holidays is. Check out their answers and the attached links for some great ideas!
Lacy: “My favorite thing locally is ice skating at the rink at fountain square. It feels so festive and Christmassy. It’s like being at the rink at Rockefeller square in NYC but better, because it is right here!”
Sam: “The Tri-State area goes absolutely nuts when it comes to light decorations on houses and properties. We like to drive around the area checking out the light displays.”
Mary: “Finding and chopping down our own Christmas tree as a family. Check out this awesome place!”
Ryan: “My family does the Reindog Parade (with the SPCA). We dress the kids up like elves and the dogs get dressed up too. It is really funny and the kids love it!”
Danielle: “We go to Union Terminal to see the Duke Energy Trains with my son, and we did that as kids when I was little.”
Rachel: “Every year for Christmas my family goes to see the nativity at the Krohn Conservatory and then we go see the trains at Union Terminal. The display is crazy cool and it puts you in the spirit!”
Lindsey: “The Festival of Lights at the Zoo. We love to get a picture in front of the big Christmas Tree!”
Roxanne: “Every Christmas Eve, we watch Elf and my Dad makes tamales while my Mom and I wrap presents. My fiance and I started the tradition of making a gingerbread house together on Christmas Eve as well.”
Are we missing a classic tradition? We would love to hear what your family does during the holidays! Head over to our Facebook page to share!
